How Urinal Sensors Work
The urinal sensor operates on the same infrared reflection principle as sensor faucets and sensor squat pans. When a person enters the detection range, the IR emitter transmits a signal that is reflected by the body and captured by the IR receiver. The microcontroller processes this reflected signal and sends an open/close water command to the solenoid valveSolenoid Valve EN 15091to enable automatic flushing. The urinal flushes only when a person is detected within the sensor range; otherwise, no flush occurs. Flush programs, duration, and detection distance are adjustable via the MCU or through GIBO’s dedicated infrared sanitary ware remote control—making it the optimal choice for smart, water-saving public restrooms. As a touchless, water-saving solution that requires no manual operation, the urinal sensor effectively prevents cross-contamination of bacteria, making it ideal for high-traffic public facilities such as schools, railway stations, airports, and bus terminals.
GIBO Urinal Sensor Description:
1. Smart Water-Saving: The urinal sensor intelligently selects between single and dual flush modes based on usage frequency to effectively prevent water waste. During high-frequency use, a single-stage flush (Stage I: 2 seconds) is executed; during low-frequency use, a dual-stage flush (Stage II: 7 seconds) is triggered.
2. Hygienic and Convenient: The touchless urinal automatically activates flushing, ensuring thorough rinsing with no lingering odors—effectively preventing cross-contamination by bacteria.
3. Automatic Range Adjustment: The ultra-compact circuit design, controlled by a microcomputer, automatically adjusts the sensor range of the urinal sensor based on the working environment, eliminating the need for manual calibration.
4. Smart Odor Prevention: If the urinal remains unused for an extended period, the flush valve automatically activates every 24 hours to prevent evaporation of water in the P-trap, thereby blocking odor backflow.
