GIBO Cold-Only Sensor Faucet: Functional Description and Installation Diagram

How GIBO Sensor Faucets Work:

A sensor faucet operates on infrared reflection technology. When a hand is placed within the infrared detection zone, the IR emitter's beam reflects off the hand to the IR receiver. The signal is processed by a microcontroller and sent to a pulse solenoid valve, which opens the cartridge to release water flow upon receiving the command. When the hand leaves the sensing range, the solenoid valve receives no signal, and an internal spring returns the valve core to its closed position, stopping the water flow. Sensor FaucetThanks to its touchless water-saving designProductswith no manual operation required, effectively preventing cross-contamination of bacteria—ideal for high-traffic public spaces such as schools, train stations, airports, and bus terminals.
Available in AC or DC power options, this sensor faucet features infrared detection: water flows automatically when hands enter the sensing zone and stops immediately upon withdrawal. The touchless operation eliminates contact with the faucet tap, effectively preventing cross-contamination of bacteria. Microcomputer-controlled, it optimizes the sensing distance based on basin shape without manual adjustment. A one-minute timeout flush function prevents water waste caused by prolonged presence of foreign objects in the sensing range. DC models operate on alkaline batteries (6V, 3V, 4.5V). An integrated filter screen protects the solenoid valve from debris, ensuring easy maintenance. With an elegant design and robust construction, it is ideal for high-traffic areas.

Sensor Faucet Features:

1. Smart Sensor: Water flows instantly when a hand enters the sensor range and stops immediately upon withdrawal, with a response time of <0.5s.

2. Ultra-Compact Circuit Design: Microcomputer Smart Control, Intelligent Power Saving, Static Power Consumption ≤ 30µA

3. Hygienic & Convenient: Touchless sensor faucet operation — water flows automatically when hands are detected and stops instantly upon withdrawal, eliminating physical contact to effectively prevent bacterial transfer and cross-contamination.

4. Timeout Protection: If the sensor faucet operates continuously for more than 1 minute, it will automatically shut off to prevent water waste caused by prolonged activation from objects within the detection range. The faucet resumes flow upon re-detection.

5. Automatic Distance Adjustment: Microprocessor-controlled, allowing the optimal sensor range to be set according to the installation environment.

6. Smart Power Saving: Features GIBO Liteon sensing technology with a low-power chip controller and built-in energy-saving mode for ultra-low consumption. DC models run on 4 AA alkaline batteries, achieving a static current of ≤30μA and a battery life of up to 18 months at 200 uses per day.

7. Low-power indicator: When battery voltage drops below 4.6 V, the red LED flashes to signal that the batteries need replacement.

8. Power Options: AC (220 V), DC (standard AA alkaline batteries), or Dual AC/DC supply. The dual mode enables automatic soft switching.

Sensor Faucet Performance Parameters:
