DIY Guide: Cleaning Debris from Solenoid Valve Coil Assemblies – How to Clean the Solenoid Valve Coil Head? What to Do When the Solenoid Valve Coil Head Is Clogged? How to Clean the Solenoid Valve Coil Assembly
The solenoid valve coil assembly comprises a rubber diaphragm, self-cleaning spring, moving iron core, moving iron core spring, and permanent magnet coil. All GIBO products feature solenoid valves with self-cleaning functionality, effectively preventing clogging issues.
Tools required: sensor tapware suction cup, Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, and adjustable wrench. Filter screen cleaning is only applicable if the solenoid valve features a pre-filter. Debris removal involves two scenarios: cleaning the filter screen and cleaning the solenoid coil head. Before removing debris, please turn the flow control valve to the closed position or shut off the main water supply.
When flow rate decreases or water fails to shut off in sensor faucets, sensor urinals, or sensor toilets, please clean the solenoid valve filter mesh. Users are responsible for removing debris and cleaning the filter themselves. Before inspecting the solenoid valve coil assembly, turn off the water supply by rotating the flow control valve clockwise.
Solenoid Valve Coil Assembly: The built-in solenoid valve iron core and rubber diaphragm become clogged with sediment or impurities, causing continuous water flow.
a. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the four mounting screws and remove the solenoid valve coil head (ensure all solenoid valve assembly components remain intact to prevent loss of parts). b. Rinse the solenoid valve iron core, rubber diaphragm, and valve body cavity with clean water.
c. Reassemble the solenoid valve components in reverse order (refer to the product exploded view) and secure with screws.
d. Finally, connect the power adapter (battery box) and mate the solenoid valve leads with the connector plug, then secure the cover panel. Perform commissioning and testing.
