Can Your Kitchen Faucet Withstand Pressure?

Some kitchen faucets on the market feature spouts that are not designed to withstand pressure. However, when a GIBO Smart Faucet (Sensor Water-Saving Attachment) is installed, the sensor controls the opening and closing of the kitchen faucet, requiring the spout to be pressure-rated. If the inlet water pressure exceeds 0.2 MPa, it is recommended to replace the kitchen faucet with a pressure-rated model. Installing a GIBO Quick-Fit Sensor Faucet on a product whose spout lacks pressure-resistant design may cause the spout to detach from the faucet body, leading to continuous water flow and potential water damage.

Recommendations:

a. Before purchasing a smart faucet, check the tap water pressure in your residential area. Normal pressure is approximately 0.2 MPa. If the pressure exceeds 0.2 MPa, it is recommended to either replace the kitchen faucet with one featuring a pressure-rated spout or purchase a GIBO Smart Sensor Faucet Set to prevent water damage;

b. During periods of low usage or prolonged non-use of the kitchen faucet, it is recommended to close the faucet handle.

The applicable water pressure range for kitchen sensor faucets, sensor faucets, bathroom home sensor faucets, commercial sensor faucets, sensor urinals, and sensor showers is 0.05–0.8 MPa, within which normal operation is ensured (normal municipal water supply pressure is typically around 0.15–0.2 MPa, depending on local network conditions);
